Hello all,
I hope you can see this picture, which shows many green buds. Are these buds normal growth for this late in the season? I noticed these buds in October, with rhizomes I planted back in March.
FYI - This is my first attempt at growing hops. Unfortunately, it resulted in bines that only got 4 feet tall, and basically seemed to be in suspended animation all year, growing ever so slowly. No cones of any kind ever showed up, I'm sad to say. I think I did a good job picking a soil mix with excellent drainage, and made sure they had enough water. They are in circular pots - 1.5 feet in diameter, and 2.5 feet deep. They are positioned to get major sun every day.
[These hops are either Mt. Hood or Williamette, I forget which.]
Thanks!
Tumult
