I had a sour experiment that didn't work out well due to the wort (really poor 2nd runnings from another beer) that was fermented with us-04 and then had dregs from various wild beers poured into it. I've read that it's fine to re-pitch on some of the wild/sour blends you can buy from wyeast and white labs but what about a us-04 cake mixed with dregs? Would I have to possibly re-pitch some clean yeast to get things going?
This beer has been sitting for about 6 months so I'd like to dump it and then put a fresh batch of wort into the carboy and see what happens.
