I have a bunch of Mr Beer booster packs from my Mr Beer days. I know these can be used to prime but don't know on the amounts. Does anybody know how much booster should be used to prime a batch of beer?

ETA this will be for 5 gallons

I have the same question, except I brew Mr.Beer-sized batches.

Also, does it make a difference if I use 16oz bottles instead of 12oz?

I emailed Mr Beer and this is the response I got...

Sure Dustin -- it is basically corn sugar -- just use the same measurements. have a great day!

Booster is actually not just corn sugar. Corn sugar is dextrose. Booster is a mixture of dextrose and maltodextrins. You need more to get the carb level right.

and Melchizedek, yes, you would need to adjust the amount based on bottle size.
