I've read that bagging pellet hops cuts down on aroma and ibus. I'm wondering if I can boil my hops at the specified times and then strain them before racking to primary?
As far as I've read the resins and anything to do with flavor are aquired during the boil and afterward they are not needed. Is there a proper way to discard them prior to fermentation. I've also been told that pouring the wort into the carboy is bad but have never been told exactly why, just that exposing it to the air will contaminant. I use wolflock (Irish moss) for clarity. And leave a few bottles worth in the pot and then again in the fermenter. I'm trying to save those few beers and make them even clearer without substituting flavor. Any help is appreciated.
