2013's How many gal of homebrew in 2013

Did you brew that with or without the "conservative tears" and ashes from the constitution?

Kentucky Louisville KY area: Free to a good home

Dang... I live just south of Richmond, so Louisville is a bit out of the way. I do some work up near there and New Albany from time to time, so maybe I can work something out.

    Who wants rhizomes?

(No intent to hijack thread) Thanks for sharing! I had about 20 different tabs open in my browser, and I guess I missed that page. When I first looked there I guess I was confused, because they were sold out of the "rooted rhizome", but I guess they do have regular rhizomes available for...

    Who wants rhizomes?

Ah, I appreciate it. It's cool that you offer so many varieties, too. Next year I'll definitely be getting some.

I can't seem to find Saaz Rhizomes anywhere. Still got some?

Funny things you've overheard about beer

I'm sure I'm not the first to say this here, but I've been to several liquor stores where they refer to Guinness Draught as "Droe", or "Drought". I just kind of smile and nod. Also, I can't count the number of comments I've read online about people "getting part of the bottling equipment" in...

    O'Fallon Cocoa Late

Whoops... I mean "latte" ...Has to be one of the tastiest brews I've had yet. This is how beer would taste if angels had beer taps for nipples. It is so delicious, that it makes having both vehicles broken down juuuust about "OK', because it means I can have a couple of brews in the...

    Coffee Pale Ale?

Cool. I wonder if there's a way to get any noticeable caffeine levels from beans without an overpowering coffee flavor...

    Coffee Pale Ale?

I hate to be that guy, bumping an old thread and all that. Did you try it? I'd like to brew a naturally caffeinated Pale Ale, and I'm debating between using coffee beans or yerba mate. Probably do a test batch of both, but I'd like to see if anybody's tried it.

I, for one, would love to brew a goat pee voodoo witch magic beer.

Funny things you've overheard about beer

I'm sure this will come up more in this thread, but yeah. When I first noticed Sam Adams under "imports", somebody told me it's because they were brewed in England. Yeah... I have never returned to that establishment. Also, in response to the "Guinness gets me drunk faster" crowd, I always...

Kind of getting ahead of myself, but...

Thanks guys. I've been doing some TESS and COLAs searches. Only one that I planned on using is actually trademarked, the other isn't. I'll probably play it safe, anyway. That is, in 3-5 years. I actually didn't even know that I had to trademark my business names (unrelated to brewing), I...

Cool, thanks for the info. Great starting point for a whole new string of google searches.

Kind of getting ahead of myself, but...

Let's say I'm interested in going "nano" in about 3 to 5 years (Not planning on it as a main source of income, just want to be able to sell it - I still have a lot of market research, etc. to do) Now, let's say I have an idea or two for fun recipe names, and unique recipes that I haven't seen...

I went "pro" - What it actually takes to do so

Thanks for sharing. I'm way too new to even be thinking about going pro, but I really like the idea of being able to sell my beer. I think it would really be cool to be able to sell brews along side my wife's ceramic goodies (tankards, goblets, beer steins, pitchers, etc). I hope to have some...
