    Wholesalehops.com has Amarillo and Simcoe

Just ordered 2 lbs of Simcoe last night, I just checked and they still have both Amarillo and Simcoe. I had ordered some Amarillo from them last week, shortly after they were out, now they're back in. $7 flat shipping, too.

To use or not to use 1st year hops?

Got about 10 oz. of hops from my first year Columbus plant this year. At brew club last night, someone told me I shouldn't use grown hops until the third year. Anyone agree or disagree with this?

    Corona style mill

Got home today to find ups delivered my cheap corona mill from discount tommy. Picked up a 50# sack of 2-row for $32, and proceeded to crank out 15 lbs of 2 row for tomorrow night. I'm talking about 3-4 weeks after its been harvested and sitting in the fridge... I've got a quart jar of irish ale wlp-004 filled...

My first attempt at an IPA recipe - feedback welcomed!

So, I just ordered a bunch of hops last night (after having one too many), so this morning I decided to take a stab at formulating my own recipe around the hops I bought. After I get them all, I'll brew it up. Here's what I've got (Used Brewer's Friend - was pretty simple): Galaxy Gale IPA...

Mackesson XXX Stout... 3rd AG batch

It's finishing the boil on this one. A buddy paid for the ingredients, so I said I'd brew it for him. Of course, I keep half of it ;-). Things are going smoothly, a little more boil off than I anticipated, but it smells heavenly so far. Hit my numbers all around so far as well. I love all grain!

    First all grain for me...

Took the plunge today... Brewed the Two Hearted clone from a recipe somewhere on a thread here that had good reviews. Everything seemed to go smoothly too, Mash temp stayed at a constant 150 for an hour, drained rained it to my kettle, then batch sparged according plan. The boil went well...
