Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion

I used duct tape for a few days but then it just peeled off. I ended up glueing two strong magnets above and below the switch. Then put a thin bolt crossing over the switch. Magnet holds down the bolt enough to keep the light on. Then I just take off the bolt if I want light.

Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion

Realized this after about a week and rigged up a little magnet solution. As to the question of whether or not to install an external temp controller...in my opinion, I would just do it if you're building it now. I have had mine running for about 6 months and depending on whether you have...

Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion

This looks like it is implying a co2 tank and two 1/6 kegs will fit here... I was really hoping to do commercial kegs in the conversion I am doing, but it seems most people dont think two 1/6 kegs will fit. I just need to keep re-reading this entire thread I suppose. Pictures of my build so...

Any brewers in the Bristow/Manassas Va area?

I thought you weren't supposed to use airlocks on starters. I'm sure it's one of those highly opinionated things...but I gathered that the commonly used practice was loose foil because a good exchange of oxygen in a starter was good. By the way...another shipment of Nugget Nectar came into...

Any brewers in the Bristow/Manassas Va area?

NN is by far one of my favorite beers out there. Went through 3 six packs in the last month or so. Now that Bell's Oberon is out...I stocked up on a couple six packs of that.

Any brewers in the Bristow/Manassas Va area?

30 minutes into my Saison brew right now. Hopefully learned some lessons from the last batch. Checked on my American IPA in secondary yesterday and it looks like it's gotten a bit oxidized. I'm a little nervous about it because it has gotten considerably darker since moving to secondary...

    Anyone try 7C's hops yet?

I just dry hopped my APA with 7c hops and they smell so good. Ordered 8oz more to use in the near future. Can't wait to taste/smell the APA when it's done.

Any brewers in the Bristow/Manassas Va area?

I'm in for the meet up. Looking forward to it...unfortunately my American IPA will only be in bottles for about 11-12 days, so I doubt they will be "ready". Maybe i'll just bring a couple Founders KBS :mug: Scott...looking forward to hearing about that hop spider. Only heard of people...

Hey man, really appreciate that input. I guess I just always see that IBU number when I'm in the beer recipe calculator and my taste wants the number to go up. I do however want to taste a good summer, hot day refreshing beer...so you're probably right there. The only other thing I was...
