    Has any used quince?

    PS- these have LOTS of pectin, so you'll never get a clear beer. Clarifiers may help, and aging helps- but just plan on getting a cloudy beer.

    Here's the recipe I used 2 years ago. It was a cloudy "grog" type of beer, best drank fresh. It was well received, and I'll be brewing it again this weekend. You could sub quince in an Apricot wheat recipe too. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f75/qui-whe-ale-quince-wheat-282157/

    diy stir bar

    Seems like a lot of work to make a stir bar. Try using 2 bic pens, pull the endcap out of one, cut the back off the other, add small magnets into the tube (google buckyballs), and plug the tube with the second end cap. Use an O-ring around the middle or the tube to let it spin.
