    American IPA Hopslam Clone

    I have had this on gas since last week, drew the first glass a few minutes ago. This is so damn close to the original I don't think I could tell the difference. Great beer. I dry hopped 7 days in a 5 gal paint strainer bag.

    I have always used S-04, I did a small batch in April with Nottingham. This was a weird mystery blend of sweet cider and I actually like the Notty better than the S-04. Pretty potent and still rather sweet. I did cold crash one month after pitching.

    So I lost most of my Tettnanger due to a boilover right when I got to a full boil. So I am thinking about a dryhop to make up for the loss of the Tett. Does it really matter since the Tettnanger is a First Wort hop? Or should I dry-hop?

    Im gonna do this, but I think I will have to scale it back a little bit to fit in a 10Gal MLT. Or are there procedures to get around that to still get a 5.5gal batch? nevermind, at 1qt/lb I can do it.

    Racked to secondary and put in AE last night. Definitely not getting any action so far. Yeast should still be pretty good. I will give it time and see what happens.

    I think I messed up. I dont think I should have dry hopped in primary. I pitched the yeast, shook, and added the whole leaf hops. Am I going to get anything useful out of this? Fermentation was really only going good for about 36 hours and now it has pretty much stopped.

    What's the most expensive 6 pack of beer you've seen?

    Bought hopslam 6-er for around $20. Good purchase. Bought Founders KBS for I think $23 for a 4-pack. Dont really think that was worth it. Does not live up to the hype.

    American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

    Just did this for my first all-grain batch. 10 gal orange cooler with stainless false bottom. This rig did great and I think this will turn out great. Weather has been all over the place lately so I will probably have to be shuttling this upstairs and down to keep the temp constant.
