Danstar Munich VS Fermentis WB-06 (Happy Wife Wheat)

I've focused alot of my brewing energies on weizens and tried many yeast over the last 5 yrs - initially using 3068, but my best brews so far come from decoction mashes with a ferulic acid rest at 105 - 107 degF and using WY3638 fermented in the mid 60's. My last dunkel weizen was made with dark...

Stillwater Artisnal Stateside Saison = Win

Wow! Just shared one of these with my wife last night with dinner... was a very tasty brew! Color was bright yellow with a golden orange hue, and a lacy white head. Hopping was probably in the 25 - 30 IBU range? ...nothing bitter left on the palate. Really liked the grains used in this brew...

    Lagunitas Doppel Weizen

Hey TryonBeer! Thanks for posting this... looks like a tasty recipe. I still have that one bottle of LDW left in the fridge... sure wish you were here and we could sample it! Whenever it's opened I'll take some notes... Another batch of DW is on my To-Brew list :) Cheers! Jeff Pfeifer

    Weizenbock Weizenbock

I made up a batch of the Baron's weizenbock this weekend... Used WY3068 and split it between two fermentors to avoid the overflow while we were gone at a SuperBowl party! I did a double crush on the white wheat per a fellow brewer's recommendation. Anxious to see if that results in a more cloudy...

    Lagunitas Doppel Weizen

I've still got the original Lagunitas DW yeast culture going... and one bottle left :) I've made 5 DW's with this yeast now - originally using 6 lbs of the Briess Bav Wheat LME + partial mash, then switched over to all-grain @ 55% white wheat... and the latest and best so far uses 65% white...

    Lagunitas Doppel Weizen

It was my understanding that the yeast sent to Lagunitas was a special strain, so instead of trying to match what was used, I just captured the yeast from the Lagunitas Doppelweizen itself (like we did a looong time ago)... and made a few batches earlier this year with this yeast. Lagunitas...

Munich Helles BierMunchers “Helles Belles” (Munich Helles, AG)

Brewed a double batch of this 3+ weeks ago... I added 1.5 lb of white wheat malt and split the 11.5 gallons with two different yeasts - WLP029 & WY1338(sloooow!). Once we racked off the WLP029 at two weeks, I transferred the other WY1338 half onto the WLP029 yeast cake so it'd finish off sooner...

How many gallons of BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde have been brewed?

3370 + 10 = 3380 ... sadly just blew the last of it this weekend
