    EZBoil DSPR320 experience

I’ve got spade connectors onto the controller, wired and then soldered onto an XLR and then a cable to an M12 connector which is attached to the thermowell. Fair point perhaps before I throw it in the bin I need to go back and make absolutely certain all the solders and connections are clean and...

    EZBoil DSPR320 experience

Apologies if I’m reviving an old thread here, but this seems to be the most popular thread on the DSPR320. I’ve had mine for around 18 months now. Worked pretty flawlessly and I have been really happy. At some point in the last couple of months though I found the temp readings would float around...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I have only just moved over from Beersmith to Brewfather (mostly because Beersmith doesn't seem to have API or allow information to push into it?). Anyway... my point may be invalid, but I would love to have the tracking of what the target temp, plus fridge/heater switching as well in...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Thank Thorrak, awesome work as always. On the Brewfather support, can you only send gravity sensor data to Brewfather? I don't have the hardware right now to build a TiltBridge, so I am just using a Pi Zero W I had lying around and loaded TiltPi, the plan is to integrate this directly with...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Awesome, thanks for that, between this, and earlier advice about just shorting IN2 and ground, I realised my problem was truly elementary... I had assigned the heater to the wrong pin... fkn idiot... But on the plus side, problem now solved!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

So at this stage my issue seems far more rudimentary. I'm a tad out of my depth here but fermentrack is showing it should be on a heating cycle. The heater is not on... When I measure the voltage at the relay it's showing 230v on both relays. I'd have assumed if it was firing the heater that it...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hey guys; Not sure I am asking in the right place... if not, please point me in the right direction. I have fermentrack loaded on a RPi, and I am running a brewpiless (I think, but man I set it up a while ago and I have had a few home brews since then). Anyway, to the problem at hand. I was...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Firstly, this software is awesome, really love the interface. Seems my DIY skills are pretty poor however and a connection came loose on the fridge relay... Its pretty obvious where this happened in the graph. Anyway, I couldnt find anything to indicate that this had been implemented, but what...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I think I know the answer to my question but that's never stopped me before... I've got my fridge working nicely on fermentrack. I have built an iSpindel which I connected up to fermentrack a while back. I'm trying to use it all for the first time today and I'm not getting any updates on the...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Well the you go! No worries, it's largely going to be headless anyway, would have been a nice to have.

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

My next question. I read the whole thread but I don't remember seeing anything about changing what's displayed on the LCD. Can you show the current SG rather than the idling time?

Success! Thanks so much for the help.

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

OK, so I am making progress, I have the screen on and working, but the text is super dull, is there something I need to do to brighten it up? I have turned the pot as far clockwise as I think it can go (don't want to damage it), and it certainly helps, but you can basically only read the text...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I blindly followed the order of the wiring per the pic provided above without actually checking the pin labels, so I had it configured incorrectly. Now that it is corrected, I am getting a red light on the back but the screen isn't coming on still I have probably bricked it. Its a 20x4 LCD. Also...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Hey guys, am I missing something here? My brewpiless is accessible from the web, seems to be working ok. I added an lcd screen tonight and the screen is dead, do I need to change some settings to get it to display anything?

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Thanks sir. I didn’t realize I needed the battery plugged in while attempting to flash. Everything is up and running now.

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

Guys I am struggling here... I’ve soldered up a couple of these and for the life of my I cannot flash them. Granted my soldering skills are pretty poor, but I’ve used a magnifying glass, and am fairly confident, at least for the last one that I have soldered, that it’s pretty solid. I’ve used...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Hi Chaps; I am a proper newb when it comes to this... I have a pretty basic FreeNAS setup, would it be possible to run the use the NAS in place of the Pi in for this? And if so where would I even start to search for information?

    Stc-1000+

Hi All, awesome hack this, really impressed. One quick question, I live in South Africa, and our power supply is pretty unreliable. As in we lose a couple of hours per day. I know with the stc 1000 standard, it just defaults back to its last set point, what happens with the 1000p if the power...
