    Mandarina Bavaria and Huell Melon

I brewed a 2 row-Huell Melon SMASH pale that I'm drinking right now. I ordered my hops from Farmhouse. 5.2%aa. I got stone fruit, maybe some strawberry, candy and light fruit notes. Almost no melon, which I was really wanting. The beer was 1.050 SG, 1.008 FG and bittered with 1.1oz. @60...

Aerator wand. I've used it for eight years now without a issue. This was operator error. Luckily pride was the only thing hurt.

Here is mine. It's angle on top and legs from an old indoor bicycle trainer. My welds are pretty ugly but I have mad grinder skills!

    Krud/Crud in picnic faucet

I've had the Krud in my pinics too. A mucky mold looking glob.:o I figure it's from the beer left from pouring that sits in the faucet. I try to hit my faucets with spray of sanitizer after the last pour. I've soaked the faucet tops in pbw or oxy and most times it comes off. If not, remove the...

What did PEPSI do with this?

I picked up an old carbonator in a trade. The carbonation stuff was toast but I took the motor and pump head off and use it for a CIP on a fermenter. Works great. Cheers, Bob

Motorized Grain Mills: Time to show them off!

I finally got a mill! My Monster 2.0 with the 1/2 shaft option. The mill, belt and screws were the only new parts. The rest was scrounged. I mounted the mill up a bit so the pulley would be above the base. No issues setting it on a bucket or my mash tun. Scrap plexi for the base, used...

    Two Brother's Domaine DuPage recipe

My OG was 1.067. I don't get a whole lot of spice in the real deal. That's why I questioned using the 550. I also detect a musty, cellar, earthy note in both the taste and smell of Domaine. I hope that comes through in mine. Cheers, B

    Two Brother's Domaine DuPage recipe

Howdy, I posted to this thread back in 2009 and I finally got around to brewing this. I sent an email to the brewery asking about the BYO article and recipe, and my concerns over the wlp550 kicking out penolic flavors that I didn't notice in the commercial example. They responded quickly...
