    yeah, go 5 gallon gott water cooler if your going to only do 5-6 gallons sized batches....

    Nope , the beer wasn't filtered, it was carbonated in tank, whatever settled out in bottles was the yeast(s) used for fermenting.

    What I've done on occasion is. Drain wort into boil kettle, ramp up to 180 or so, hold for a couple mins, flame out, and 24 hrs later or so come back and commence my boil again. A few things, I always do this when temps are between 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit ambient outdoor temps. I seal the top...

    Wash it with non scented dishwashing detergent and a nice soak with baking soda water...

    What I did for beer today

    Cereal Mash! 2 lbs wheat malt 2 lbs crushed white basmati rice, trying to develop a nice easy sipping summer beer, probably going to use a saison strain or kolsch yeast.

    real hard to say having mixed the FF and zythos together,,,,,similar to the citra beer i did recently, not quite as orangey if that makes since, decent replacement, more limey, neighbor swore i used lime in recipe...hahah

    Was a little skeptical, so, kinda made a one off partial mash/pilsner LME pale ale, 4 oz total. Just tapped keg, and while not extraordinary good, it is pretty tasty, I would do this again... recipe: 6.5 lbs pilsner LME 5 lbs great western 2 row BIAB mashed at 150F 1 lbs crystal 10-20L .75 oz...
