Alternative Grain Beer Beowyn's Brew (wheat and rye)

During her pregnancy the wife wanted me to brew up something she could enjoy afterwards during the hot summer. After the birth of our daughter Beowyn (for which this brew is named), we were able to crack open this wonderful beer which we have made many of since. 82% 9# 2 row 9% 1# rye malt...

    My new mead.

Hailsa and Blessings all, Thought I would post it just because I am proud of it. This is one of the meads I laid down a year ago open for the first time and getting the test. It was WONDERFUL! Looking forward to the other 39 bottles.

As for when people ask me what type of beer I am currently serving or brewing I always just sort of give them a dumb look and say either Ale or Beer so it will be nice to actually have...

A quick question about Identifying a style of beer.

Hailsa and blessings all, The wife and I were talking about this the other day, she is a beer snob and I am just a beer enjoyer, however we got into knowing what type of a beer you have when you are mucking about with the recipes. How does one say it is a hefe or a wit or APA or what not. I...

55 gal plastic barrel (food grade)

DEAR GODS! You must tell me if this does work! I would love to brew 50+ gallon at a time. Hell and night I do not even need a wedding as a reason, just the thought of it is worth it. Where did you get a 50 gallon drum like that if I may ask.

Did iI technically make cider or cyser?

Actually by "definition" it is a cyser, however, a "real mead" requires more honey to gallon ratio so I would just say it is a honey cider instead of a cyser. Either that or a honey apple wine.
