    Onion beer

    I'm starting an onion patch this week and I was wondering if anyone has tasted or even attempted brewing an onion beer. If so what were your results/reactions to it. Do you have to like onions to like the beer? Anyways just rambling thoughts I had gardening this afternoon.

    Maple mead

    I wanna do a three gallon batch of a mead with a little bit of maple and some peaches I think. I'm not sure how to proportion it evenly to make a good flavor. Any advice?

    What happens if i mix two types of hops at the same time?

    I'm brewing an imperial pale ale the grains are in the pic and the hops are all Columbus. Would it be wise to mix one ounce Columbus hops with half an ounce of cascade?

    Mulled wine

    Never tried mulled wine before but i do like regular wine and will drink it warm. Sake isn't too bad in my opinion either. Anyone know any good recipe or what I should shop for if I were to try mulled wine?

    What is happening in my beer?

    Can anyone describe to me in basic terms what is going on in the beer. I know the yeast converts the sugar into carbon dioxide and alcohol but can anyone give me the chemical formula--or point me in the direction of some good chemistry 101 savvy information? Much appreciated! Many thanks!
