Making sure Im doing this right

Unless you fermenter at some crazy low temp you probably hit your fg or got darn close in that one week. So moving to secondary didnt ruin anything! Ive brewed about 10 batches and only seen airlock activity twice. They all turned out fine :) the hydrometer should have enough wort to float...

    First Brew

Sounds like you're on the right track! I could barely wait a week before I started peeking and sampling my first beer in the fermenter =p Patience is always rewarded when brewing beer.

    Racking without picking up trub

I typically push my siphon well into the beer and try to angle it so that I can see the bottom tip of the siphon through the side of the carboy (obviously dark beers make this difficult) and just try to keep it as close as possible to the yeast cake as I can without touching it. Using this...

    Well.....crud.

Just use the money you've saved to buy a couple of beer's worth of ingredients that are already milled so you can drink beer while you wait for the restock :mug:

    First AG brew was. Interesting

I'm not sure about the hops, but do you have enough yeast to tackle 1.070 on short notice?

    Brew Kettles

I'm happy to see a high amount of enthusiasm and forethought going into your new hobby! I'm at the point now where I'm considering a new pot because I want to make the jump to all-grain and full-boils myself. I wish I had that level of commitment right from the get go! I think I can echo the...

Ouch! Just brewed my first beer.

All-grain for your first batch? I wish I had been that ballsy! Don't worry, I think the rule is more than 10 things have to go wrong before you worry :mug:

    Stuck fermintation for 1 month

To be clear, you have taken multiple readings right? Does the yeast cake on the bottom look rather thin? Or normal? Just trying to make sure the measurements are being taken correctly.

    My search of kegs

Sounds like OP's joke has gotten way out of hand. (Psst! Now's your chance to back out of your post OP!) All laughs here, really

    What's next for my Abbey?

^ Second. I've never had a problem with using only primaries since I started brewing. Given a reasonable amount of time most anything will settle out and from then it's just a matter of careful movement/siphoning.
