    Brewhemoth conicals?

HI All, After two hours of reading I did not find the answer to a questions I have. Can you really ferment 20 gallons in one of these Brewhemoths? I read mentions of people doing it but none of them made mention to how it went and if that is how they do it on a rewgular basis. Can someone...

    Brewhemoth capacity...20 gallon?

Has anyone fermented 20 gallons in one of these fermentors? I contacted them and they said its pushing the limits but did not say it was not doable. They said 20 gallons will take it to the top of the cylinder (20.6 gallons) leaving the dome (estimated volume 1.5 gallons) to hold the krausen...

    BG14 and the Blichmann 15g

I use the BG14's and the Blickman and I love it. I did not put those angled pieces in there and had a round piece of metal made that was 1" high and 1/2" wide that supporst the pots on the top. I will get a picture here shortly to show you.

    March pumps not priming.

This was my fix. I have not tested it and I still need to shorten the return hoses.

    March pumps not priming.

Well Crap! I thought you would want the help of gravity to prime the pumps. Guess my thinking was wrong! Thanks guys!

    March pumps not priming.

Any idea why these pumps are hard to prime. They seem to get air on them. I have to unhook the lower fitting run them for a bit to get them going. I thought if they were mounted like this they would work better.

I ended up buying this: http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/brewing/beer-brewing-equipment/burners/brass-orifice-air-shutter-and-spring-for-banjo-bayou-burner.html It is the correct one!

Where can I get an orifice

I ordered this one. It does not specifically say what size it is but by the picture it looks right. http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/brewing/beer-brewing-equipment/burners/brass-orifice-air-shutter-and-spring-for-banjo-bayou-burner.html

Where can I get an orifice

Thanks for the laugh! Guess maybe I should have read it outloud :-) Here is the burners hat I bought from Northern Brewer and they are all 3 3/8". I ordered replacements from Norhtern and they came in 3/8 flare x 1/4 and they are to small...

Where can I get an orifice

I need an orifice for a BG14 Banjo burner. I easily can find the 3/8x1/4 in. The BG14 needs a 3/8 flare x 3/8 npt.

    Yeast washing question

Yes. They have been in the fridge since I washed it. So are you saying that I can condense these down into two jars using the same two sterile containers?

    Yeast washing question

Those are the instructions I followed but for some reason I was able to get all four of those jars filled plus half of the large container left. I did not want to throw it out if it was good yeast yet. That is why I was wondering if I could decant down to two or three jars.

    Yeast washing question

I washed this last night. Is this all yeast on the bottom? Can I just pour off the top liquid and condense these into two jars?

    weak flame on my bg14

In that picture on the right...are those spacers that your pot sits on? Do they have a purpose?

    weak flame on my bg14

Glad you figured it out. How far down did you mount the burner? and have you tested it to see how long it takes to boil 5 gallons? I ask because I am trying to get my setup working and my flame looks a lot like yours but I was expecting more.

My Brutus 10 build...Plobelms with the gas!

Found some time to work on the Brutus and were still having issues. We drilled the burner orfice out to 078. We put a high pressure regulator at the tank and moved the low pressure regulator to just in front of the Honeywell valve. We tested the output with a manometer and we are getting 12"...
