    Nitrogen beer on the go

Guys, Thank you. I tried the syringe trick on a stout I had lying around and it worked better than expected. It seriously gave such a creamy head that lasted minutes! Thanks for the out of the box answers!

    Nitrogen beer on the go

Hey folks! I have a beer competition this fall and would like to enter a nitrogen poured beer. The only problem is that the beer needs to be poured into pitchers first, and then the pitchers are passed down the table for everyone to blind taste test. First off, if I go straight from a...

    Spent Grains

It seems a lot of folks are making dog treats! Can you guys post some recipes?

    Degassing before carbonating

Thanks Yooper! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Btw I used the yeast cake from that wine to make skeeter pee, so I'm hoping everything works out!

    Degassing before carbonating

So the gas in there isn't just co2?

    Degassing before carbonating

Hey guys, I've searched the forums and not found anything remotely close to what I'm looking for. I made a Gewürztraminer Wine from a kit and am thinking about making it sparkling. I have a 3-keg setup and am used to force carbing my beer, so that isn't hard, but all of the forums say to...

The stupidest comment on your beer

Last month I had a couple guys over for a tasting and UFC night. Hefe, pumpkin ale, Stone IPA clone The first guy showed up. Hefe - 'whoah, I actually like this', pumpkin - 'there's too much going on here', ipa - he brought the glass to his lips, took a half sip, and said 'no' and gave it back...

Serving from corny keg without co2 connected

It also depends on how full your keg is, and what it's pressurized to. If its only a third full, you have 2/3 of it full of co2, which means if it's maybe 10 psi, you could most definitely push the rest of the beer. The less co2 to beer ratio you have, the harder it'll be to push out the beer...

    Funniest movie scene....ever.

Thanks man! Theater is actually what got me into homebrewing. Our sound guy on tech always would bring a couple growlers of his homebrew every Saturday night after the show. One day I asked if I could brew with him, he said get a kit and I could use his equipment. My wife got me the kit for my...

    Homebrewtalk Carboy Cleaner Giveaway

I've made the mistake several times of removing the traditional carboy brush from the carboy without proper cover and I end up getting a face full of whatever I had just fermented. This tool looks like it'd fix that.

    Question about esters.

The big thing, thought, is if you do taste some off esters after a few weeks of bottling or kegging, if you can hold off, let it go for another month and you'll see those esters fade if they were present.

    Best Extract Kit?

I won second place (out of nine) in a local homebrew contest with Northern Brewer's Caribou Slobber. It definitely is really great for a starter beer.

    Montessori

I still can't write my own name - that's the one thing that Montessori won't let you do ever in your life. But seriously, I could write my own name way earlier - I'm sure there were other variables that worked toward that child not being able to write their name. I remember going through...

Witbier Austin Homebrew's Blue Moon Clone (AG)

Did you record the OG? It could've been a bad batch of yeast and you might want to just suck it up and throw another pack in there (I'm assuming it was dry)

    Montessori

I went from preschool through 4th grade. I feel like it's up to your child and how they learn. I loved it, because I felt like I was having fun while learning. Once I got to public school, a lot of my dreams were crushed and social norms popped in and all that. I really think both help you out...
