    Take a hydrometer reading then wait a few days and then take another . If your readings are the same secondary or bottle which ever you prefer. Cheers!

    First wheat beer, rice hulls?

    I use rice hulls on every brew I do, I figure its cheap insurance. I usually use 1/4 lb on light grain bill And a 1/2lb for a mid to heavy grain bill.

    Thanks for the help! I just figured it was bottle conditioned becausee of the 1/4 in thick layer of yeast on the bottom of the bottle :cross:

    I just made my first actual batch of kombucha and I have 1 thick scoby and one really thin baby scoby. The batch is ready to bottle. My ? Is do I use both scobys to make the next batch or just the thicker mother? Thanks!!!

    When to put in Secondary?

    If you want to secondary wait till air lock slows then take a fg reading then 3 days later take another. If they are the same you are ready to transfer. You can keep it in primary for a few months or so with out any problems or you can secondary. Try both and see what works for you! Cheers:D

    Just use a ground screw or a grounding pig tail in Your handy boxes to insure a good bond, unless there is metal on metal between the boxes. The ground screws are reasonably cheap at home chepo.

    10 would be the absolute max, and I would lube them to reduce friction and scraping. It's easiest to hook one wire to the pull string I'd fish tape and tape the rest(tightly) to the hooked wire. As for the ground its more than to code to use emt as a ground as long as the couplings nd connectors...
