Can you carb beer bottles with a Sodastream?

Short answer appears to be: NO Oh well, was just a thought haha, was thinking of getting one so I can make cherry cola, can't buy it anywhere here :( so was wondering if beer would work but maybe not. Seems some have had success. If I get one I will probably try it and see what happens though.

Can you carb beer bottles with a Sodastream? Just wondering, could be a dumb question, but it is early and I'm not awake yet

    How brewery bottling equipment works

I was wondering how they done it, I've only ever been to the Heineken brewery in Amsterdam and that was five years ago when I wasn't making my own so didn't really pay much attention to all of the process. Does seem like a lot of work that's for sure.

SWMBO approved the kegerator, but it can't look like a freezer

How the hell do you get into this one? Just curious lol looks like an excellent setup

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

It's a euro filter. The beer hasn't got any yeast or sediment in it, the filter works great. It just has this haze to it that is stopping it from looking crystal clear. I'm going to pull off a pint tonight and see how it looks now it has been cold in the keg for a week. Might look clearer now...

Help me plan my kegerator/keezer build :)

Ok the plan is making progress. I am going to go with 2 5lb co2 tanks. So when one tank is empty I can still have beer on the go while my other tank gets filled. So here is the updated shopping list. Freezer (energy star rated, 17+ cubic feet) 8 ball lock kegs 8 sets of connectors and lines 2...

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

The stuff that comes with the clearing packets I use is called kieselsol it isn't anything to do with shell fish. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finings http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colloidal_silica It isn't actually gelatin as far as I know, but similar...

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

Yeah cold crashing / lagering will probably be the extra step I need to do to get it crystal clear. Got an old chest freezer laying around so might put it to use for that. And didn't think it would, just checking :)

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

That's another thing, I use the clearing agent in the beer before I filter to drop all the yeast to the bottom. I think that is gelatin and shell fish extract (chitosan) Might try adding a little gelatin in the keg aswell. Also need to figure out a way to lager my beer, I've never cold...

Help me plan my kegerator/keezer build :)

Manifolds might work better, should be easy enough to add shut off valves if needed and will keep the room needed to house parts down, can mount them on the back inside the freezer. This is what I was thinking of though: http://www.kegworks.com/5-way-secondary-air-regulator-427-p16654 Then...

Help me plan my kegerator/keezer build :)

Ok kegworks.com has a 5 and 3 gauge co2 regulator, that should do the job I need. Any ideas on the best way using a 5 and a 3 regulator in the same keezer? Maybe have 2 5lb tanks on the outside of the system? Or is it best to keep the co2 tanks cold?

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

I done a slight burst overnight with 20 psi rather than the 12 I was going to use for set and forget and it seems a lot better. Think I just need to leave it a little longer now to get the flavour better, still tastes a little bit too much of carbon. Nearly there :) you guys here are great for...

Help me plan my kegerator/keezer build :)

Hey DIY people, I am planning a kegerator (keezer) build. What I am thinking is, I would like to use ball lock corny kegs in the future so I want to build something big enough to keep beer flowing easily. I'm currently brewing 23l batches and I don't want to bottle at all. So I am thinking...

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

Thanks for the tips. I changed my first post. What I meant to say was I'm not burst carbing (or atleast I wasn't) but I am using co2 to force carb the beer. And by basic kits I meant brewers wort/extra cans not any grains/mash or anything. The cans have some boiling process so maybe I could...

Looking for some tips and links (clearing/kegging/process)

I'm looking for a few tips on a few things and most probably some links. First off I would like a suggestion on the best/most accurate carbonation chart there is, I am trying to get my carbing correct and having a couple problems figuring out my best route. My beer seems either flat or too...

    Wanted: Strawberry Blonde

Fruli Strawberry is my favourite fruit beer. Love it on a hot day! Hopefully one day I can come close to the recipe in my homebrew.

Pump for finished beer/wine? A hand truck?

I've also seen carboy dolleys on a few sites for about $25-30 each. Basic platform with 4 wheels on it.

    Canadian Suppliers

The best one in Canada I found is here: http://www.homebrew-supplies.ca/viartshop/ Not a very well setup website but they have all kinds of stuff on there.

Comparing brew ingredients and products - which do you prefer?

Looks like they do! Thanks for the suggestion. My bookmarks are getting full pretty quickly lol EDIT that, they use some special service for shipping to Canada, might work ok though.
