    First all grain batch has gone great! We used the calculator and added gypsum, calcium chloride, and some baking soda to get the ph right. So far so good.

    I have a belgian abbey that is finishing up- any ideas how this lemonade would be with 1214? I think that the yeast is ethanol tolerant to 12%.

    Sorry, it took me so long to reply. We are going to try to brew with the Greenville water but had some extract kits to use first. I will post how the first all grain turns out.

    tankless water heater question

    I cranked up the heater and we are getting about 155 F at the sink. My builder and father-in-law said that the piped should be fine- I hope. Way more efficient than heating the water on the stove. Cuts an easy 20 mins to 30 min off the total process.
