I have a RIMS on a BCS but this looks right to me. Smart move forcing the pump to be on to run the RIMS, I already lost one element through a flip of a switch to manual by mistake. I might see if I can rewire my manual switch to work the same way (or just disconnect manual all together).

Actually I heard from a reliable source that Cigar City stopped using Thames Valley as their main yeast earlier this year due to flocculation issues and switched to 002 (but able coax out attenuation close to 80% by tweaking things.

No problem waiting 14 hours. Just make sure everything is well sanitized. While your at the store pick up a couple packets of dry yeast so you will have a backup next time.

I can't imagine running A BCS without at a minimum on/off/automatic switches, especially when it comes to pump control and for cleanup.

Old post here but if folks are still paying attention I am curious if you can just set a higher temp point in BCS that triggers a full shutdown (I.e. rims tube temp probe reaches 180 and system alarms and shuts down).

I was going to go without any lights. Do you find them necessary? If so which circuits. The 3-way switches I ordered do not have ili,Marion but I could easily add in a few LEDs. Thanks

Any other thoughts out there on this? If I decide to go with one box, I would just treat the 120V/20a as Line 3, with it's own neutral bus to prevent overloading the the same gauge wires. Any reason both circuits can't share the same ground block? No problem keeping them separate if folks...
