    I'm sure it was not a 6oz more like 11.5G. For a lager pitch cold and pitch a lot 2 packs of dry yeast is good for most styles.

    For this batch most of the active fermentation sounds like it is mostly over. Just leave it alone for 3 weeks and let it finish up.

    It is best practice to try and keep the yeast at the low end of the range. So a room temp of around 58 or so is a good place to be at.

    Are you using a mash tun or are you doing biab? If mash tun how many #s of grain are you using?

    Fermentation temp too low?!

    How long has it been going for? You really need to get it up to the mid 60s. Do a search for swamp cooler. Or turn the heat down in the house a few degrees.

    1) Use the yeast that came with the kit it will be fine. 2) Just make sure to get the wort cooled to around 65 before you pitch. 3) That temp is just where it needs to be your lucky. 4) Search for a blow off tube. If the airlock gets clogged the pressure will build in the bucket till the lid...

    Run it under the lid or you can drill through the compressor hump up to you.

    This is a flavoring addition. Leave them in till you transfer your wort to you fermenter.
