    American IPA Stone Ruination Clone

Sounds like a few too many beers or too many people distracting. If it's really sweet I suggest brewing a really bitter beer and blending them. No way I'd throw it away. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    30 Gallon BIAB System

I built a similar system with 2, 5500w elements in a 25 gallon pot with an inner basket and hoist. It worked fine but for the addition of a big cooler to batch sparge in and some plastic buckets to hold the first runnings I can brew 20 gallons instead of 10.

    Exploring "no chill" brewing

I ferment in a Sanke. On my last two batches I've only used 90 minute bittering hops in my boil. I add aroma hops directly to the Sanke when the temp gets to about 175 which is pretty much right away from heating up the keg. After that I proceed with pitching my yeast when it's cool enough the...

Do you dry hop in the primary or the secondary?

I just throw pellets loose into the primary a week before I plan to rack off to my serving keg.

What do advanced homebrewers ferment 10 gallon batches in?

Sanke. I go into it at flame out and cap it with a TC cap to use the no-chill method now. I've waited a couple of weeks to pitch yeast with great results; break the vacuum seal and pitch away. Brewing gets simpler with fewer parts.

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I FINALLY got to brew this. 12 gallon batch, BIAB and my first no chill brew. Tasting great just 12 days later. Really exciting to validate the no chill after reading about it for a long time. It was a 5 hour brew day start to finish and most relaxing.

Do you dry hop in the primary or the secondary?

a buddy and i fermented a split batch with him dry hopping in the secondary and me dry hopping in the primary. His beer had way more hop aroma. I don't know if the yeast is swallowing up the hops or what as I ferment in a Sanke and can't see in.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Anyone here tried going straight from a BIAB hot into a Sanke for a BIAB - No-Chill combo for max simplicity?

Can do BIAB with a 10 gallon batch or batch sparge in cooler for 20 gallon batch. Uses 2x5500 watt elements and that is just right - not overkill. 25 gallon kettle here but 30 gallon would be better.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

First brew with big basket. Worked well. Only 59% overall efficiency but that's with no rinse or squeeze which will help. 10.5 gallons to fermentor. 11,000 watts of electric heaters are really nice. 25 gallon pot.
