Thanks for the replies. I really wanna use it as a keg but haven't really tried to get it open yet. I think the thread part is the hardest, especially since I don't know for sure if it's reverse threads or not.

If i can't get it open it's going to be converted to a mash tun! haha

Hi, I want to re-use this keg for homebrew but I don't know how to open it. It's a Guinness keg so there's not a lot of info on how to open it. I will Include some pictures below.

I bought this keg from Kijiji today and I didn't realize it has like a 1.5" cork in the side of it... Can I actually use CO2 and pressurize this keg and use it for home brew again? I need to know what to do about this cork hole!:drunk:

Are those big blue barrels ok to ferment in? I've been wanting to get one or two but don't know the grade of plastic.

Ahhh Nice! i tried making a corona mill stand tonite... it didn't go so well! haha. I like this setup though. easy, simple, and effective!
