    Metallic/harsh taste to force carbed Pale Ale

    Fermenting smaller batches in 5 or 6.5G carboys

    Is there any reason I can't brew a 3 gallon batch and ferment it in a 5 gallon carboy? Or even a 6.5G carboy?

    BIAB with Heatstick...is this possible?

    I am moving from extract to BIAB AG and will likely do my first couple batches outside on the propane burner. Once the temps drop, I'd like to move inside but my stove is utterly useless. I would like to brew in the house for comfort/convenience, but I can't imagine BIAB with heatsticks...

    5 gallon kit only nets 43 bottles?

    Just bottled my first batch and I only had a bit over 4 gallons from the secondary, netting 43 bottles. I didn't lose much wort racking to secondary (tipped the carboy and autosiphoned at the deep point), so I think I didn't top off all the way to 5 gallons on brew day. I know I made the...
