I am in this boat... if it works well, I would be willing to pay quite a bit to not have adds and not have to pay every month. It's paired with Beersmith which is $30 and thats it. I do think the "free trial" version with ads will help you greatly to get people confident enough to support...

Don't chuck it!!!!! go ahead and bottle it, it will take longer to condition but it should still be good. What kind of beer is it? Hops will be more subdued, but it could be the best beer you've ever made, because it was allowed to age.

I would use it. Chances of it being infected are slim, and its going into a starter if you have an infection in the starter you should be able to tell. Yeast produce an environment that is not friendly to other stuff. PS: welcome to the forum

1: not a slide lock, all it does is prevents you from putting a magazine in it 2: the only "safety" that actually works is the operator
