What would you buy with 3k

For brewing I'd pick up a kegging kit, keggerator, top tier brewing stand. For serving those delicious beers I'd build a modest bar and then install the keg system in it. Man, that would be nice!

    First All Grain Batch!

@Lordmorphous, about how long did it take for you to complete the process on brew day? Also good job on the efficiency! A friend and I have done a few all grain batches so far and I feel like it takes less time each time we do it because were getting better at it. Looking over the notes from...

    milled grains in hot car

Those grains sit in rail cars and in the back of trucks in the hot sun for at least a few days during shipment so I don't think 5 hours in the car will hurt them at all.

    What time do you brew?

I brew all grain, so its a long process. I try start up by 10:30 or 11 on a weekend or day off. That lets me be done right around dinner and gives me an excuse to just grab a pizza because I've been "working" all day!

    Beer Hangover

Ill get behind that too, I always drink 1 or 2 glasses of water before heading to bed. I almost never get hungover the next day after doing that. Back in the college days it was grab some McDonalds on the way home, it worked, but that stuff wrecks my stomach these days.

Confused on when to bottle. My 1st batch

I never use my carboy for primary. I always use the my plastic vessel for primary, carboy for secondary. Reason being I once put a 5gal batch into my carboy for primary and ended up with a volcano. The pressure from primary was too much and actually shot the airlock and stopper out of the...

Do you put your test beer back?

I drink all of it, no need to waste any! +1 on tennesseean 87's above post, the beer changes so much during conditioning that it usually doesnt taste much like your original sample at all. I still do it though, just because I like to.
