    Heat Stick and temperature rating of the electrical cord

    It seems no one has brought up the question about needing an electrical cord where the sheathing can handle 100C. Does anyone know what the internal temperature of the heat stick tube gets to?

    It's kind of like food. I refuse to tell people what's in my Sunday dinner until after they have eaten. You will always get buttheads that their momma didn't raise them right. Eventually you will get to a point where people will trust your pallet and when you say hey try this, they will.

    It was a pretty straight forward build. A couple of notes... -used a small chisel to break the tabs securing the top to the front -did not reuse the housing for the temperature gauge / door light -soldered the connection closed for the door switch light and filled the hole with GreatStuff foam...

    These are not kept in stock at my local homebrew store and I was brewing that weekend. The Teflon encapsulated o-rings where fine, it was the others that needed replacing. The #47 & #7 o-rings are readily available at Lowes or HomeDepot. The #206 was lower priority, so I ordered it online.
