    Ohhh, my back

In the past two weekends, been able to brew a Belgian Golden Ale, a Christmas ale and then 10 gallons of delicious ESB. 20 gallons in 10 days...I like it. I also finally bought a new chest freezer, acquired all the components (4 kegs, gas line, beer lines, all the hook ups, 3 faucets, 20-25 lb...

Victory Malt vs toasting your own 2-row

Is victory malt the same as if I toasted my own 2-row. For the ESB I made today, I baked some 2-row at 325F for about 14 minutes. Could I substitute Victory malt for the toasted malt?

Developing another IPA recipe : Phase one

I want to try to make an IPA that is similar to Gordon from Oskar Blues, Lyons, Colorado. I know for the most part that Gordon is a double IPA(ish), but I would like to tone it down and try to stick with in "normal IPA values". For reference to the beer http://www.oskarblues.com/brew/...

Do you use your spent grains?

Does anyone reuse or do something with the spent grain after the mash. I realize that they are pretty much husks so the nutritious value is minimal, but it is still a nice "organic" material....
