Any input/comment on using the inlet tri-clamp of the new pump to hang it it directly off a Spike kettle (similar to the Unibrau BIAB setup)?

I would be tempted at that price. I imagine it will strongly depend on what fermentation setup people currently have. This would be a better deal for someone all in on the SS Brewtech equipment. If I was starting from scratch at $350 I would be more tempted by the new Spike product.

All three actual bulkheads are stainless, but the HLT and mash tun valves are brass. The kettle valve and fittings are completely stainless.

I have the same Apera meter as well and it has worked well through 2 brew days so far. I calibrate it while heating strike water but it was within 0.01 both times. That said the amount of acid needed to adjust the mash both times was exactly what the water spreadsheet predicted so...
