    I used the LME containers a couple of times, but for me, they were just a pain to clean. I got one from my LBS for free and it was nice, but like I said, the cleaning was not as easy as the vaults.

    I guess you could nick-pick anything. But as far as reliable, inexpensive single container fermentation of 10 gallon batches. You'll have a hard time bearing the price other than free Easy to clean and not a huge hard to store container

    I use these with no issues. and your right, they are very inexpensive 10 gallon fermentors.

    I use the ebay duel controller from china. cant think of the name right now but it is the one everyone uses here (it seems like). i have the fridge for cooling and have a $9 mini heater from wal-mart for the heating. the thing has been working like it should for the past year and a half...

    why hack the top off? you can build a box, so to speak and enclose the fridge in there. I have exactly what your talking about. the little mini fridge and all i did was build a box and place the mini in the end of it (think window AC apprearance), some great stuff and ridgid insulation sealed...

    Ok,,, currently i have a three tier wood stand, water tank high, mash tun in the middle, and boil kettle on the ground. everything draining by gravity I am wanting to get a pump. I have read where you can just swap hoses and use the pump to move liquid from the various pots to get it...

    good points..... im thinking a couple bulkhead fittings with compression fittings on the coil,,, make it removable so to speak for clean up... if i ever get it moving, ill post a pic or two

    Seems as though the HERM coil is for recirculating wort. I imagin it could work as a chiller as well. I think I am going to try to add this to my keggle.....I am ready to do some 10 gallon batches.

    I know this has to have been done. Cant seem to find a picture Does anyone have a "built in" cooler on thier boil kettle? mounted to it so to speak. having a fitting "in" on the kettle then the chiller run through the pot and a fitting "out" of the kettle. basically permatantly...
