    1.057 OG 1.016 FG It is going into the bottle tomorrow. Followed the instructions but I took my time with this. It smells like a really nice beer! I hope it carbonates well and tastes as wonderful as it smells!

    So far so good! I'm keeping the temperature at about 50°. It will stay in the primary fermenter for about four weeks at this temperature. Diacetyl break after that and then back into the freezer for about six weeks at 34°.

    When someone tells you to relax and have a home brew, they ain't kidding! The yiesty, cidery no head retaining and oily mouth feeling mess turned into quite a nice beer! Not too bad for a first try! What's next?

    That's sounds tasty! For my first brew I stuck to the basics. The DME was what they included in the kit, it was a lot of DME. My basement is cool even in the summer, temps below 70 degrees thanks to central air, a fan and a dehumidifier. I want to try a belgian lager next (Stella Artois clone)...
