Idea to cut boil time - Thoughts?

I was thinking if I were to take a large sauce pan on the stove and boil it for an hour adding my hop additions per my recipe the night before. Cool the water in the fridge overnight. Then on brew day I would mash and sparge like normal but only boil my wort for 5 minutes to kill any nasties...

    Tiny Keezer Build

Have the top made, decided to go with a twin tower and recessed drip tray. I am not even going to use the original lid at all. I built the frame out of reclaimed decking and plywood and will be tiling the whole top. I think I will be painting the body a nice dark brown to match some of our...

My Super Mini Single Element 120V ULC (ultra low cost) Electric Setup

Just finished preliminary testing on my new electric setup... PID control of a single 1800 watt heating element temporarily mounted for testing. Ultimately it will be setup like a heat stick that I can move into both my hlt and boil kettle. Lucky for me I had an old broken power washer cord...

    Perfect 120V power cord

I had a pressure washer die on me two years ago (leaked at the high pressure port, then stripped out threads trying to fix) that I removed the motor and everything and stuck on the shelf knowing it would be good for something. Yesterday I was looking at it and it had 30 foot of power cable and...
