    Sixpoint Sweet Action Clone?

Yeah I figured I would have dry hop no matter what. How much Simcoe did you use for 5gal and how much time did you dry hop for? Crazy thing is I have two cans of Sweet Action left over from a memorial day party in 2011 and I have some left over from this year’s memorial day party. I drank...

    Sixpoint Sweet Action Clone?

Yes and No. I will wait for fermentation to complete and give it a taste test. If I feel that dry hopping is required I'll dry hop with Simcoe for 7-14 days. So far it’s been fermenting for 94hrs at about 64 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Sixpoint Sweet Action Clone?

I checked out Six Points web site and the description for Sweet Action is Part pale ale, part wheat, part cream ale- all Sweet Action. Since its part cream ale I decided to modify osmodeus recipe slightly by adding corn. I brew it this weekend. Type: All Grain Batch Size: 5.00 gal Boil...

    Post your infection

Liberty Cream Ale Extract Kit from Midwest Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Clone from LBHS I don't think either has an infection both taste fine 3 1/2 weeks in primary. I'm set to bottle in a few days. The Hefe fermented vigorously so much I had to use a blow off tube.

    Some Advise for a Noob

Thanks for the advise I planned on leaving both in the primary for a month and then straight to bottles after. I’ve actually been taking readings by removing the airlock and using a thief. I think I need to be a little more patient.

    Some Advise for a Noob

I've been making wine for 15yrs about a year ago I decided to make beer (because I love and appreciate beer just as much as wine) so I did my research (I purchased John Palmer's book and trolled forums). I have plenty of equipment so I made two different beers a Hefeweizen and a American Pale...

Oh No! Need Some Quick Help

I've been making wine for 15yrs and yesterday is the first time I made beer. Sure enough this morning I check the wine cellar and the foam had bubbled through the airlock and all over the lid of the bucket and it hasn't even been 30hrs in the bucket. I had put grappa in my airlock (force of...
