Does cleaning ever get you burned out on brewing?

One time, a bad pinlock slowly leaked 5 gallons of my best high gravity beer onto the bottom of my chest-freezer kegerator. It was hard to get back on the horse after that.

    Measuring Beer in Kegs

I don't like to move my kegs after I let them condition since it stirs up the yeast which has settled out. Has anybody every tried to gently tap on the sides of the kegs with something hard to see if they can "hear" how full the keg is by the note it makes? I think I'm going to try that myself.

    Oxygen Concentrator

I've never even heard of these things. How much does it actually concentrate oxygen?

    Wort Chute

Yea, putting it away would mean an immediate snow storm. I just recently enjoyed a very warm and sunny St. Patrick's day up your way, in/around Empire Brewing.

    Wort Chute

I think I would do it anyway. I already have about 3 gallons of StarSan used to soak various items every brew day, and I just use that. Besides, I don't use a CFC, I use an IC. The big improvement, coming soon, will be to put a sink in my beer room right under the outlet, which will save...

    Wort Chute

Inaugural use of Wort Chute... Sanitizing process after brewing: 1. Run a few gallons of very hot water (recycled from my immersion chiller). 2. Run about a gallon of StarSan solution. 3. Drain then cover with end-caps. I also run a little StarSan before using the next brew...

    Blichmanns welded or weldless?

Weldless. With the tri-clamp option, makes it pretty easy to sanitize.

    ebay aquarium temp controller build

It would be a good idea to ground whatever enclosure you use for these contollers. These contollers are meant to be installed as one part of a power switching system, and are not really a stand-alone device, like the Johnson controllers.

Should I Buy a Wine Cooler with a Broken Thermostat

If you turn it on and it cools, then it should be fine. As long as the thermostat allows the compressor to come on whenever there is power to the wine cooler, then a Johnson temp controller should work fine. If, however, the thermostat is broken in such a way that it prevents power to the...

    Adjusting STC-1000 temp calibration value

And yes...many of us (including myself) tape the probe to the outside of the carboy with a little insulation to strike a balance between an over-reacting compressor and a stable wort temp. If you are fermenting an ale, I recommend just going with whatever setup seems OK and tweaking it as you...

    Adjusting STC-1000 temp calibration value

You need to do an ice bath to calibrate your probe...you are over-thinking it.

    What size mash tun

It is a nice guide but please keep in mind that there are those of us who make lots of big beers in 10 gallon batches using 10 gallon gott coolers...we just stir harder and mix at water/grain ratios of 1qt/lb or even less.
