so if you're controlling the flow at the kettle are you ever worried about not having enough flow to the pump and possibly damaging the pump??

question is for those of you using a pump and a plate chiller. how do you control the speed of the wort passing through the chiller? is the ball valve better placed on the hot wort in or cool wort out? thanks for your answers.

It's not a brewery. It's a machine to produce wort. It's very expensive compared to gas. And if you wanted to double batch with the braumeister compared to a 3 vessel system it would double your day. I love my 50 braumeister but I was going to start a nano I wouldn't get the 500

Have you tried gelatin?? Will drop the yeast and make things delicious. I promise.

You want the beer to be cold when you add the gelatin. Chill haze will form when it's cold. Adding the gelatin with remove the haze and drop the yeast. You should have crystal clear beer in a few days.

And it doesn't work for carbonated beer. Would be to much foam.

I have one. I use it for wine. Works awesome.
