    I plan on brewing an old ale with a OG of 1.098 and plan on fermenting it in a wine cooler, which doesn't leave room for a blow off tube. Will anti foam work efficiently on a beer this big? Thanks, Paul

    Warmer water - longer chilling time?

    I had 5 gallons of wort to chill yesterday and it took much more time (3x +) to cool. I’m guessing the groundwater is much warmer this time of year in NC. Has anyone had problems cooling wort during the summer, and if so, what methods or techniques can I use to cool faster? Thanks!
