    Soda Newbie...How to make and keg a Root Beer..?

    Keep it or discard it...extra wort after sparge?

    I did a 10g recipe of an Oktoberfest, because the SWMBO loved my last batch. I mashed 1.5qts/lb if grain (26 lbs of grain)....I sparged 1.33qts/lb, even though I got conflicting directions on this...I ended up with 13g of wort to boil. So pre-boil my OG was 1.050, a decent target I guess...

    What temp to ferment Red Stripe Lager clone...?

    I bought a kit from Austin Homebrew Supply and it wasn't very clear what temperature to ferment at. It did say after I pick the yeast and it starts to ferment to slowly take it down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, but what temperature do I started it at??

    Can I dry hop after beer is kegged and carbonated?

    I tried a dry hopped beer at a local micro brew and loved it!! I have a Rye IPA kegged and carbonated, I have been drinking on it for a couple days. How would I dry hop it now? Pop the lid and drop the hops in? Or is it too late?

    Did I do this right? Valve question...

    My LHBS suggested that I put a hi-temp gasket on the inside and the outside of the valve.....this is on a newly drilled 15g keg. I did it like they suggested. But I always thought you only need one onthe inside.

    How much $$/lb. is a good price for grain??

    Take a typical 2-row, how much is a good price per pound, like in bulk? I want to go all-grain, but need so much stuff. Bulk grain would be one thing on the list. Thanks!!

    Started some batches if wine today...

    Did 6g of mixed black berry and 3g of blueberry. Still yet to make are a 6g strawberry and a 5g mixed white fruit....doing this with my phone, we'll see if it works...

    Tis the season...Dark Chocolate and my Mixed Berry wine.

    Made a 6g batch of the mixed berry wine after successfully doing a 3g batch. Made the mixed berry back in January and it is tasting soooo good,. Just tonight, I tried some with a square of Ghirardelli's chocolate. WOW!!

    Toying with Saké....

    Bottling up a 3g batch of Jalapeno Saké. Half the batch will be straight jalapeno infused Saké. The other half is based on my previous recipe, Bloody Mary Saké (or Bloody Jalapeno Saké...something like that).

    Bottling Skeeter Pee..??

    I have been following the SP recipe to the letter. My questions is when to bottle. As I look through the glass carboy, I can see bubbles rising from the bottom. SG is at 1.015... Do I let it sit another week??

    Do I rack my Mixed Berry if it is still bubbling in the primary?

    I made it on February 5, 2012 and the breather is still bubbling. It is a 6g version. Do I let it go until the bubbling stops?

    Fermenting orange peel?

    How would I ferment orange peel? A guy in my beer club did a small bottle of it, granted it was nearing 150 proof and we mixed a spot of it into our wheat beer. Tasted amazing!! But how would I do it?

    First brew day of the new year!!

    Made a 10g Rye and a 10g Centennial Blonde. Looking forward to our next brew day....hmmm, what to make next time??? The set up looks a little messy, but Dang, we cam kick out the beer!!
