Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

It's actually been cooler than expected. It's only reached a max of 70 degrees in my basement during the day. Still to hot for the Notty?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Made this again last Sunday. This time I bumped up the hops slightly and split the batch and threw saison yeast in one. I'm interested to see how it turns out. The temp in my basement stays around 75 since we are in the south so I hope this is a good temp for both the notty and saison yeast...

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

I'm thinking about brewing this again and splitting the batch. One batch I will use the Nottingham yeast and the other I want to try a saison yeast. Does anyone have any experience doing this with an american pale ale?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Speaking of Belgian-ness, I just had a Schlafly Golden Ale and was inspired to possibly try this recipe with a Belgian yeast. I think this beer would pair well with a belgian yeast. What belgian yeast do you guys think would really shine with this recipe other than a saison yeast?

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Bottled this today and all I have to say is WOW! Already tastes like it came straight out of a cask. I'm really excited to see how this turns out after bottle conditioning!

Blonde Ale Centennial Blonde (Simple 4% All Grain, 5 & 10 Gall)

Brewed this yesterday, gearing up for summer. Gravity ended up being 1.044, so I would say that was pretty spot on...Really excited to try it! Thanks BierMuncher!:rockin:

    My stir plate

Yeah, I work at a cigar and beer store so I got this one for free but they also sell/give away most of the empty ones. The best thing about this project was it didn't cost me a dime. I already had all the parts!

    My stir plate

I know just about everybody has made one but I was pretty proud of mine and wanted to share it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W5eERR7PJc

    when to add candi sugar?

When doing multiple or incremental feedings, do you stir/mix the sugar in as you add it or do you just pour it in? I'm thinking of doing this with some candi sugar syrup but wasn't sure how to add. I would hate to oxidize it. Thanks!

Belgian Tripel Belgian Trippel (2006 World Beer Cup Gold Medal: Dragonmead Final Absolution clone)

I'm sure this is in the thread somewhere but is this AG version a 5 or 6 gallon batch?

    WTB Grain Mill

Well, I said around $80. I'd rather start low. But I will look into that. Thanks for the advice.

    WTB Grain Mill

I have looked at that before but I wasn't sure if it was a quality mill. Looks like it just got an update but I'm still unsure. Still looking for something with the reputation of the Barley Crusher but can't afford to pay full price! I know, I'm cheap.:(

    WTB Grain Mill

Just like the title says, I'm looking to buy a roller style grain mill. I know so is everyone and their mother but I can never seem to catch the threads that are selling them early enough before like 3 people have already pounced on it. Since I can't stalk the forum, I was hoping this may...

    Barley Crusher

If the three people in front of me fall through (fingers crossed) I will buy it for $90. Let me know!

    Rebel Brewer

Another local shopper here. The first time I went into rebel brewer I spent about $700. The first person I talked to was the owner and he was a great help! Answered all my questions and definitely knew his stuff. Then, after ordering everything with him, Tyler took me on a tour of the facility...

    Competitions in Nashville

Cool, thanks. I'm actually thinking about joining the club soon. I've just had a lot on my plate at the moment since I just got settled into my place in Nashville. Looks like you guys have a lot of fun and are really knowledgeable.
