    I am planning to brew tomorrow, but...... My recipe calls for 8oz brown malt and I forgot to order it. It's an extract so it will only be steeped. So I was wondering if I can substitute 8oz of chocolate malt? Will this work or be a bit of an overload of chocolate malt?

    Hop Question

    I have never dry hopped until yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't weigh the hop bag down. Now the bag o' hops just floats at the top of the carbouy. Will the oils still exit the hops? Shy of trying to get the bag out and dump the hops into the beer, what should I do?
