    How many batches before you bought a wort chiller?

    13-14 batches for me, only because I'm frugal. Finally bought one from ny brew supply a few months back and I'm now wondering why I waited so long. They are so convenient.

    Kettle size for 3-gallon all-grain batches?

    BIAB right? How much water volume do you have in the kettle for the mash? Also, what size fermenter do you use? I've been wanting to try 3 gallon AG BIAB with my 5 gallon brew kettle.

    Yep. I just dry hopped in primary last Friday with pellet hops. Do whatever you prefer.

    Have you searched craigslist? I recently found a fridge with an already wired love controller for $75. I got tired of doing the swamp cooler method.

    Shiner Bock

    I agree with Yuri, Black Lager is my favorite and I'm not too fond of anything else from them. I took the Spoetzl Brewery tour a week ago and it was very interesting. Tried some of the beers that I haven't had before, and still wasn't impressed.
