    Not sure on the harvesting, I've read once they have produced lupulin glands. As for the bug issue- try an actual soap insecticide product like soy soap, the key is multiple applications till they are gone. Best to apply in the evening as most pest like this feed at night.

    When to add fruit.

    When should I add dried elderberry to my batch? I have read a lot of negative things about elderberries in beer brewing. Any thoughts would be really helpful as i am dead set on using them.

    Thank you. I guess I'm just used to seeing a lot of settlement and days of visible fermenting. Even when it was visible, it looked weak.

    Hi, has anyone had a dark ale go from 1.050 to 1.019 in 22 hours. Very little settlement in the bottom. My fifth batch ever, not sure if I should re-pitch.
