Which Session IPA do you like better?

Baby Daddy by Speakeasy is a great session IPA. It's my current favorite.

Commercial bottles with labels that come off easily ~

Agreed that Russian River are the hardest I've ever encountered. Treat them as permanently etched glass.

    White Mold?

Thanks for the tips. Last time I made this beer I did dry hop with no bag for the pellets. I cold crashed a for a few days but I when I tapped the keg I had a clogged faucet because of the hop particles. I didn't cover my racking cane with a hop bag, guess that would help. I am going to dump...

    White Mold?

I didn't the dry hops last time I made this beer and ended up with clogs in the dip tube and in tent flow control Perlick. Ok so I've never made an infected batch on purpose or be accident. If siphon below the surface and keep the beer cold throughout it's like is the infection likely to cause...

    White Mold?

So I brewed a second batch of a session IPA. Fermented at 66 deg for about 10 days and then dropped in an oz of dry pellet hops in a nylon bag weighted with a SS spoon and tied off with some unwaxed dental floss. I returned the primary to the fermentation chamber and raised the temp to 74 deg to...

    Poppers for sale

Ok so when I first started roasting I bought as many popcorn poppers as I could in case I burned them out. Turns out I never burned one out and moved on to the iRoast 2 and finally a Behmor 1600. Now it's time to clean out the attic. For sale are 3 poppers all suitable for roasting small...

    Pliney the Younger is here!

Younger is only on tap but you can get bottles and growlers filled in the back. Go around to the entrance in the parking lot behind the brewery. They take bottle and growler fills for most things. No growlers for PTY or their Nitro porter or their sours.

Talk me off the kegging ledge...

Remember that as long as there is any CO2 in liquid form in the bottle the needle will always stay in the green. Pressure does not drop until there is only gas left in the bottle. I think your leak is constant and not isolated to the end of the keg. Could be an internal leak in the regulator...

Bubbles in liquid out line from keg

I think this is usually because the line is warmer than the keg and CO2 comes out of solution. Happens to my root beer line (25 psi) way more than my beer lines (12 psi) Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

What Coffee Roaster do you use at home?

I've been roasting with the Behmor 1600 for about 1.5 years. I love the consistency of the roasts. I usually roast 14 oz to City+. Perfect for espresso and a really flavorful drip. One of my elements burned out or got broke somehow. I called Behmore and they overnighted me another one with...

Using cooler to control fermenting temperature

Before acquiring my modified under-counter freezer I used an automated swamp cooler. I would place the carboy in a large bucket of water with a towel wrapped around it. Your typical swamp cooler, but to regulate evaporation I controlled a fan blowing over the towel with a solid state relay and...
