110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

Well I have finally gotten the bugs worked out of my wiring job :rockin: and was able to get a brew in yesterday on the new rig!! I brewed up a SMaSH with Marris Otter and Citra, can't wait for this thing to get done :mug:!! I opted to leave out the pump and found myself needing to stir the...

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

Thanks russki, I actually have gone back and printed out some pictures of your wiring and have found the error in my ways. I have also been able to find a diagram from our very own P-J that gives me more of a simple diagram of the contactor wiring. I was scratching my head for quite some time...

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

Hey russki, could you take a picture of your wiring for me? I'm thinking I may have my contactors wired incorrectly. I'm assuming that the coil in the diagram is the little block off to the side on the contactor without the screw lugs? Correct? What I have done is made a short jumper wire from...

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

Do you think I should order a whole new E-Stop switch and the two blocks? Would I have hurt anything in the switch by having it wired up per your schematic with one each NO and NC?

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

Dang it, well that stinks. When I bought the switch I don't think I could specify what I wanted. Looks like I will order a new E-Stop and two new push-buttons.

Dually noted, I will look in to changing this.

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

I understand the concern but I plug the leads in to the box then in to the wall oulets so there is no stray electricity floating around.

No, one is NO, the other is NC.

Problems With Dual 120V Input, Dual Element BIAB

First off, I feel comfortable doing electrical projects being that I have already added two new breakers to my houses panel and installed the associated wiring and two new 20A outlets in my garage. Having said that, I followed P-J's wiring diagram below and have run in to some problems. I have...

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

Well I have changed some of my settings to match what Kal has to no avail. My cool setting was incorrect which I changed to 10 so that is showing the correct reading now. Still, when I input a temperature the elements don't fire. The lights don't come on and I don't get any sound from the...

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

If there was a step-by-step on how to set up a 2352 PID that would be great. I have the instruction manual but it isn't too user friendly.

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

I'm pretty sure I do. I have the Pt100 probe with the deluxe cable. I have the Syn set to 21.

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

I think I may have fried both of my element switches. When I push them neither one of them light up. Also, how long does the Auto Tune feature take? My controller just flashes back and forth from At to A1000 continuously.

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

I used this schematic minus the pump and every time I power on an element, I trip the breaker. Also, the first time I powered it up, both sides of my resistors started smoking. I have replaced the resistors but I'm still tripping the breaker. I have the resistor runs going to 1 and 2 of the...

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

Has anyone tried hooking up a shower head type nozzle to the underside of the lid for the recirculation? I think it would be a little better to disperse the recirculated wort rather than having it just pour straight through from a 1/2" fitting. Anyone? Chad
