    Cranberries and sour beers

I don't know this, but I would have assumed that fresh cranberries would have a very high ph and kill off yeast.

    Adding Taps to Kegarator

So I am thinking the northernbrewer draft tower extension is my best bet. It is only three, but it is only going to be about 80 with all the connection parts. Does anyone have a picture of it? I want to make certain before I purchase. Thank you, -Andrew

    Adding Taps to Kegarator

I was given an kegarator by a friend who got married and the wife kicked it out of the house. It is the standard one tap that fits a half keg (sadly he used it for miller light). I have used it for a couple months having one brew on tab on top and another you needed to open the door. I was...

Belgian IPA similar to Le Freak

I guess I had wrong impression of yeast. I thought that if you started with one yeast and added one later that the second one wouldn't survive because the first would out number and starve it off. So how is he using two different yeast strands? Is he killing one off before starting he next...

    Cigar thread

Might be bringing this back from the dead, but i am throughly enjoying a murduro with a RIS right now. If you are a cigar smoker, you may want to check out j&rs cigars. Ordered for the first time and love their brand knock offs. I cant imagine why i wait so long.

    High final gravity carb

I bottled a high gravity beer last week. 1.030. Opened one today and it has very little carbonation. I know that one week is way too soon to enjoy, but i am hoping this beer will be ready for general consumption in three weeks. I also bottled a mango ipa at the same time and carination is...

    Bucket needed for bottling?!

When I started I didn't have a bottling bucket either. I would move from the secondary carboy back into the primary with my cooled priming sugar. Then bottle from the primary using my siphon.

    HERMS question

I have an electric setup with only two elements. I wouldn't think you need a third burner.

    Same batch different beer

To the first questions, 2 months in the bottle and they were all kept together. 1 month in the fridge, some are still not in the fridge. 2 months in my basement at 65-70 degrees, 1 month in fridge at 35. My current process is corn sugar to boil, cool then bottom of bottling bucket rake on top...

    Same batch different beer

I must be doing something at time of bottling so I was wonder what other brewers are doing. My last ipa is very clear, at least that was what I thought after the first bottle. The next bottle is very cloudy. The first beer has ok head, the second beer has tons of head. The first has large...
