I have use my round cooler once.. so I am not and expert on this but why are you preheating you cooler so high (Temp) I used beer Smith and you can enter your cooler temp and it will adjust the strike temp for you so that even with the heat lost to warm your cooler up, the mash strike temp...

Yeah I just traveled 1200 mile one way in canada from B.C. To The N.W.T. and it was nice to look at but it sucked to drive and that was just on the way up! I would say fly and rent when you need to !!!! Unless you like an adventure then I would say rent an old car!!!!!! fire

Well i am new to try to pick out the hop differences (spelling) in brews. I picked up this IPA tonight thinking this was a good beer to try to brew like, and tonight I thought that it was light in bitterness in the beginning heavy in the middle and nothing in the end ...ooo and none to little...

I am not sure about the amout of time in the secondary but I would say it would be fine! I would like to know how the mango flavor turns out in the finished beer! I have been planning on doing a mango mead!

I found it funny that a good smaller brewery like Youkon is the same price as BMC....and I seen lots of Canadians walking out of the store with BMC! BTW Yukon Red was my favorite beer I found in canada.. so far! But I have not been able to find anything with a strong hop characteristic...

Anything in canada is overpriced if you ask me! I still have not found a beer here that I like ...its like everything is bitter ... but no aroma!

thanks for the info!! I seen that more beer has a " Pre-Chiller - 25' x 1/2" with Brass Fittings " This would be tall enough for the keggle! any Ideals why it wouldnt work as a regular wort chiller?
