    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

I went back and checked - I used chocolate chips at flameout - I doubt I bothered searching for Belgian chocolate. I just drank the last of this recipe last night. After cellaring for a year, the chocolate and coffee mellowed nicely.

Stone Brewing - Double Bastard Clone

After drinking this for a few months, it has been a great beer, but I would never mistake it for Double bastard. I think that the inclusion of the biscuit malt may be important- though at first I was wondering of perhaps a longer (or hotter) mash might help. I don't know the flavor profile...

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

Sorry- For my batch I didn't us the grounds - I used strong brewed coffee at the end of the boil, and I also primed with strong coffee (instead of water) and brown sugar. The coffee flavor works with the chocolate- and are the biggest flavors in the beer.

    Danby Chill N Tap

Sorry to awaken an old thread, but I have just purchased this kegerator, and have yet to open the box. If you don't mind, I have a few questions for you: 1. How do you like it so far? 2. It looks like I'll need to buy a different coupler for my corney keg - did you have to do that? 3. Were...

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

I had the same thought, but i was a little more conservative - I went with 5 1/2 gallons, and left it in the primary for 2 weeks to get a nice, compact trub- I ended up with 52 12 oz bottles

    KBS Clone Recipe in Zymurgy!

Sneak any? Between friends & family who were equally horrified and curious, the batch is almost gone! When I tested this, I tried a 2 experiments: 1. I put 1 Tbsp of homemade bacon vodka into 1/2 bottle of Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout, and it was delicious. 2. I made a batch of bacon bourbon...

    Feedback on Spruce IPA?

I visited Midnight Sun Brewing Co. In Anchorage, AK. In 2010 They made "Treehugger," which is a fantastic stout using spruce tips. Perhaps they can give some advice? http://midnightsunbrewing.com / I am not affiliated with them in any way :)

    Meyer lemon zest?

Hello, I'm planning on brewing a Summer Ale that is a loose interpretation of the Sam Adams Summer, which calls for lemon zest to be added to the boil. I'm thinking about using Meyer Lemons, because they looked nice & fresh. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using Meyer lemon zest...
