I'm not opposed to going back to extract, it's just that I have really good LHBS here in CT with great prices on all grain stuff. So I guess it would be the cost for me that keeps me to all grain. I also like the control and knowing exactly what's going into my beer.

Just started all grain. I've done three so far and they came out great. More than welcome to come and hang, but I'm up in terryville! Also, my equipment is really not impressive but does a great job. I believe in building a lot of things eather than spend a fortune on store bought things.

Unfortunately, the guys in east hartford do not carry hop rhizomes. I buy all of my specialty grains from them. The guy in hartford can kind of be a hardass if you just go in there and ask for grains. He wants you to email ahead of time. The problem with that is I brew on a whim sometimes.

I use two coolers, one for my HLT and one for my mash tun. I have a 160000 btu burner for my kettle that I've started using this year and I've gotten 3 five gallon batches out of one 20 lb tank.

My LHBS just let me know that his hops will be in on monday. Put my order in and will be getting my first hops this week! Can't wait! Going with cascade and northern brewer.
