Thanks! i use gas on my herms, but the valves and pumps require power. 10gal on a bayu burner does not sound fun.

and power is out again. Finished the boil and added the lactose. Sprayed the kid with sanitizer and set it on top. My HERMS needs power to chill. Just going to line with what I got.

Thanks! Power came back on in about 20min and i restarted the boil. It is an all grain Milk Stout with little hops. Hopefully that will save it plus the lactose might help cover any ill effects

So.....never been in this situation before. 29minites left in my boil and the power went out. Not sure how long I can leave it. When the power comes back can I continue the boil?

Yep, that is why I did not add burner for the MLT. I can easily run the wort through my HEX at the desired temp. in a scenario like this (and for the first few uses) i'm going to measure the temp between the MLT and exit of the HEX and compensate for heat loss.

When I get a chance this weekend I will post the parts list. with all of the buttons and a provider (Auber Ins.). Total cost for the project is around $2,500 but it was spread over almost 6 months. I could of saved some money in shipping and a things here and there. I'm not too worried about it...

my MLT is not direct fire. No burner for the MLT, only the HLT and BK.

That is exactly what I did when I built the gas system for my stand. Grab the Acme nut from the BBQ section and take the pieces back to the fittings section and piece it together.

Thanks for the tip. I already adjusted the carb on the burners. the carb for the HLT is wide open. if I restrict airflow anymore the flames get worse. The pilot light is next to the burner, might need to be mounted up higher. I will check the connections and go from there.
